Registering Boats in Myanmar (BURMA) for 2 years

mergui travel,travel mergui,salone travel,mergui archipelago,vacation mergui,mergui tour,diving tour,snorkelingsea kayaking safari,sport fishing safari,sea gypsyWe would like to inform that boats/vessels could be registered in Myanmar ( Burma ) for tourism related commercial activities in the Mergui (Myeik) Archipelago, Andaman Sea, such like Sailing, Scuba Dividing, Sport Fishing, Sea Kayaking, Adventure Tours, etc.

The validity of registration is 2 years. Registration is renewable for further extensions after the expiry of the 2 years period.
The time duration for normal registration process to completion done in Yangon, Myanmar could take about one month. However, our Express Service could do complete registration within one week at a Service Charge of US$ 490 per registration.

The registration fees for 2 years shall be further reduced to US$ 3290, if the registration for 3 boats is done at the same time. 
The Certificate of Registration shall be issued as soon as the completion of the registration process.

 

 

Registering Boats in Myanmar (BURMA) for Single Entry

Boats/vessels entering Myanmar (BURMA) could also register for single entry for tourism related commercial activities in the Mergui Archipelago, Andaman Sea, such like Sailing, Scuba Dividing, Sport Fishing, Sea Kayaking, Adventure Tours, etc.

The registration shall expire as soon as the boat departs from the Burma waters. Renewal of registration is required every time the boat(s) enters the Burma waters.

The time duration of normal registration process to completion done in Yangon, Myanmar could take about one week for completion. However, our Express Service though would do complete registration within 3 days at a Service Charge of US$ 290 per registration.
The Registration Fees per single entry shall be US$ 990 per boat.

The Letter of Registration shall be issued as soon as the completion of the registration.

The requirements for the registration of boat(s) are as follows:-

In addition, 4 photos of the boat's front view, rear view, right side view, and the left side view is also required for the registration of the boat.

Registration of Vessel - Owner is to provide current license and the registration of the vessel.

- The type and power of engine(s)
- The type and capacity of the generator(s)

- The number of bed rooms
- The number of toilets and bath rooms
- The maximum number of passengers the vessel could carry
- The number of crew on the vessel
- The gross tonnage of the vessel
- The name of the captain and his qualification certificates (optional)

The Original of Registration could be collected at the border check point at Kawthaung (Victoria Point).

Kawthaung is the major entry point for Mergui Archipelago. It has border check point at the Myoma Jetty, which is in front of Shwe Nan Daw Plaza (Golden Palace). Shwe Nan Daw is a miniature replica of ancient Burmese Palace. There is a DUTY FREE SHOP operated by the Shambhala Group. You could anchor in front of the jetty (Latitude: N 09° 58.35' and Longitude 98° 33.15'). The Manager from Shambhala Tours will come aboard with the immigration and custom officers to do check-in on board. Please call in advance, before entering into Burma waters, to the Kawthaung Branch Office of the Shambhala Tours at (66-6) 277 6977 or (66-6) 06 80 652. 

Trip Permission for Mergui Archipelago

You are required to obtain Trip Permissions each time before entry into Mergui Archipelago.
In order to process your Trip Permissions, we need to receive the following no later than 5 working days before the arrival date to Kawthaung, Mergui Archipelago.

· Estimated Date of Arrival (EDA) and Estimated Date of Departure (EDD)
· Tentative schedule with name of Islands and dates (optional)
· 6 x passport sized photographs of each passengers and crews
· A cleared copy of the photo page of each passenger's passport or Identity Card (Thai Only) or Seaman Book (for crew only)
· Plus US$ 20 for Myanmar Visa Fees and US$ 80 (up to Lampi Island) or US$ 120 (up to Mergui Town) for Zone Fees for each passengers
· Plus US$ 20 for Myanmar Visa Fees for each crew who does not have the valid Seaman Book

The Fees for Trip Permission shall be US$ 129 per boat per trip.
A normal Trip Permission is valid to travel only within Mergui Archipelago. However, we could arrange special Trip Permissions for tours outside of the Mergui Archipelago. For more information, please contact tours@shambhala.com.mm
The guide from Shambhala tours is required to be accompanied on board during the trip to Mergui Archipelago. The Guide Fees will be US$ 49 for 5 days per guide. Payments are to be made, in advance, to the Manager of Shambhala Tours at the arrival in Kawthaung.
