Classic itinerary for Sport Fishing Safari trips at the Mergui Archipelago
Day 1
Transfer from Ranong, Thailand to Kawthaung (Victoria Point), Myanmar by Shambhala special chartered boat. Depart from Kawthaung by Shambhala Boat to the Myauk Ni Island. One hour after departure from Kawthaung, shall starts fishing. Arrive to Myauk Ni Island before the sun sets and settle into our magnificent Safari Camp. Seafood dinner at the Mergui Lounge and depart for bottom fishing. Arrive back to the Safari Camp at mid night.
Day 2
Early Breakfast at 0700, then troll for marlin, wahoo, king mackerel, sailfish and tunas around the Myauk Ni Island. Popper casting can be done close to the rocks for giant trevally before the lunch. Shall do fishing for sailfish and king mackerel close to the Island. Arrive back at the Safari Camp in the evening for shower and dinner. Depart for bottom fishing for sharks, snappers, groupers,
trevally, etc. after dinner. Arrive back to the Safari Camp at mid night.
Day 3
Early depart for Horse Shoe Islands (group of lime stone rocks) after breakfast at Mergui Lounge. Trolling the mornings and lunch on board. Horse Shoe Island is excellent for popper casting because of many lime stone rocks with deep and clear water. Carry out fishing for sailfish and king mackerel close to the Island. Arrive back at the Safari Camp just before dusk. After dinner, depart for bottom fishing for sharks, snapper, groupers, trevally, etc. Arrive back at the Safari Camp around mid night.
Day 4
Departure to Hasting Harbour after breakfast at the Mergui Lounge trolling for
marlin, wahoo, king mackerel, sailfish and tunas. After lunch, shall do bottom fishing for snappers, groupers, trevally, etc. Troll back to Myauk Ni Island and arrive back before the sun sets. Barbecue seafood dinner at Mergui Lounge and depart for night bottom fishing.
Day 5
Have early morning breakfast at the Mergui Lounge. Shall do fishing by popper casting for giant trevally in the morning. Depart to Kawthaung by Shambhala special charter boat. Transfer to Ranong.

Swim suits, pants, shirts, shorts, underwear, sneakers, hats, light rain gears, sunglasses, toiletries, rod belts (choice that would be most comfortable to you), cameras, books, writing materials, etc.
We also recommend that all our customers take preventive medicine for malaria before the trip.
